Emerald Green Tea - Zucchini | Almond | Dried lily

Emerald Green is an aromatic and refined green tea with delicate, twisted emerald-hued leaves. Only the very first spring harvest is used to make this tea and all of the wonders of Nepali spring air are captured within its leaves. This tea has a sweet and slightly floral liquor with subtle notes of zucchini, dried gardenia, and almonds that are accented by subtle hints of steamed spinach and dried lily. It is a wonderful tea to enjoy throughout the day.

The very first harvest is set aside for the production of our Emerald Green tea. Only the first bud and a leaf or the first two leaves and a bud of the spring season are selected to make this tea. The reason for this selection is to harness all the natural freshness of spring tea that comes out only at the beginning of the season. The hand-plucked leaves are immediately taken to the factory and undergo a process of conditioning. The leaves are then jet-steamed on a perforated tray and immediately cooled by blowing cold air. The cooled leaves are rolled and then oven-dried. This tea has a distinct spring briskness and a flowery aroma with a flavor that leaves you with a lingering sweet aftertaste.

Benefits of Emerald Green Tea

Green tea is known for its powerful antioxidants, including EGCG, which promote metabolism, brain health, and overall wellness. Nepali green tea, such as Emerald Green, offers a fresh, grassy profile with delicate floral undertones, making it a perfect choice for those seeking a healthy and rejuvenating drink.

Why Choose Emerald Green Tea?

Sourced from the lush hills of Nepal, Nepali green tea is a reflection of its pristine, high-altitude environment. These single-origin teas are processed with care to retain their natural nutrients and antioxidants, ensuring a flavorful and healthful cup. Produced sustainably by small farmers, Nepal tea delivers unparalleled freshness, perfect for tea enthusiasts seeking organic tea with a clean, crisp taste.

How it’s made

Emerald Green Tea is crafted exclusively from the very first harvest of the spring season, ensuring the freshest and most vibrant flavor. Only the first bud and a single leaf—or occasionally two leaves and a bud—are hand-plucked with care to capture the natural vitality and briskness that define early spring teas. This careful selection ensures a premium tea experience that rivals even renowned varieties like Japanese Sencha and other organic green teas. The freshly plucked leaves are immediately transported to the factory to preserve their delicate qualities. The leaves undergo a conditioning process before being jet-steamed on perforated trays, a method that locks in their bright green color and rich antioxidants. They are then rapidly cooled with cold air to enhance their freshness. After cooling, the leaves are gently rolled to release their natural flavors and aromas before being oven-dried to perfection. The result is Emerald Green Tea, a premium loose leaf green tea with a distinct spring briskness, a floral aroma, and a smooth flavor that leaves a lingering sweet aftertaste. Its refreshing and lively profile makes it an excellent choice for those who enjoy classic green teas like Japanese Sencha, while its unique character sets it apart as a must-try for tea enthusiasts. Perfect for daily sipping or as a thoughtful gift, Emerald Green Tea brings the essence of Nepal’s spring harvest to your cup.
