Lhotse is a summer-picked, hand-rolled black tea from the Jasbirey village. It is the perfect morning tea with notes of toasted pecan, fig, and buckwheat. Its aromatic amber liquor develops notes of bran and red plum as it is enjoyed.

These rare organic artisan black teas are hand-rolled followed by mechanical rolling to give a fine twist, it is completely oxidized sometime over 26 hours at 6500 feet elevation. The constant flow of cold mist supplied by nature at this altitude makes the oxidation (natural fermentation) process extremely slow which allows a gradual change of Polyphenols to flavonoids (theaflavins and thearubigins) to the extent that it is almost equal in ratio. Once the desired color and nose (flavor) is attained during this natural oxidation process this tea is dried slowly and matured with time and perfection.

Snow Leopard is a spring-picked black tea made with hand-picked leaves and buds and uses a unique oxidation process where the tea develops wine-like characteristics. Notes of cocoa powder, red currant, and caramel are accented by notes of clover honey and muscat grape. This tea can be enjoyed over many steeps.

This exquisite black tea is produced with the finest hand-picked leaves and buds and is prepared with similar perfection to Lhotse Black Tea. However, the key difference is in the season of tea growth and the fermentation process. During the tea-making process, an anaerobic method is used for fermentation or oxidation. While in Lhotse Black preparation a constant flow of natural mist is applied during oxidation, whereas in Snow Leopard, the mist is completely disallowed and the tea is allowed to get oxidized with the available oxygen within the leaf. A chunk of tea mass is compressed so as to allow an anaerobic natural reaction to take place so that the sweet character is attained with a hint of Winey taste with a darker reddish infusion and liquor profile.

Emerald Green is an aromatic and refined green tea with delicate, twisted emerald-hued leaves. Only the very first spring harvest is used to make this tea and all of the wonders of Nepali spring air are captured within its leaves. This tea has a sweet and slightly floral liquor with subtle notes of zucchini, dried gardenia, and almonds that are accented by subtle hints of steamed spinach and dried lily. It is a wonderful tea to enjoy throughout the day.

The very first harvest is set aside for the production of our Emerald Green tea. Only the first bud and a leaf or the first two leaves and a bud of the spring season are selected to make this tea. The reason for this selection is to harness all the natural freshness of spring tea that comes out only at the beginning of the season. The hand-plucked leaves are immediately taken to the factory and undergo a process of conditioning. The leaves are then jet-steamed on a perforated tray and immediately cooled by blowing cold air. The cooled leaves are rolled and then oven-dried. This tea has a distinct spring briskness and a flowery aroma with a flavor that leaves you with a lingering sweet aftertaste.
